Default How does this cam sound?

I'm currently gathering parts for a forged 6l build. I called cammotion and gave them the info for a cam request. They suggested Grind # X2192-2103-15+5
Dur @ .050 219 intake and 215 exhaust
Lift 561 intake and 546 exhaust
Lobe separation 115
Intake centerline 110

So what do you guys think?

specs
04 extended cab 2wd (guessing 5500lbs)
.30 over 6l
8.5:1
peak rpm 6000 (they wanted to know, I just guessed)
patriot performance 6l heads
stock intake for now

I'm not sure, but I would call up a few more cam companies and see what others have to say. Then go from there.
Who does your tuning? Your tuner may have some real helpfull ideas and opinions as well.

I am no cam expert... BUT I think the cam is extremely small for a 6.0. I would be looking in the 228/230 range. I dont why the reverse split either. You going turbo? The 115lsa will not lope as much as a 112.

I am sure other will chime with better info.

Couldn't agree more, and Allen is an authorized comp cam dealer, so he should be able to suggest and get the cam ground for ya.

Yes it will still be turbocharged(front mount/intercooled) running as much boost as the current turbo will efficiantly put out, hopefully 12+psi. This is my daily driver maybe thats why the cam seems small, for drivability purposes.

Sometimes I am blind... That seem like a very streetable cam.. I still think it is on the small side... With a tt3000, you can go bigger without suffering drivability. Many people with 5.3's run something in the 220-224 on 112/144 lsa. I think a 226/228 reverse split cam should suffer no driveability issues in the 6.0.

Call Allen.. I am sure he can provide good info.

Sounds a little small to me as well. Look at the trucker cam 216/224 551/551 115lsa. I have this cam and it performs very well. I think thunder550 still has one for sale that he had in a 6.0L. Check it out, im very happy with this. Im not trying to change your idea. Just some help from a FI guy if that helps.
