Default Holy loose timing chain (Video)

03 LQ4. I didn't have plans to change the timing chain, but I believe I might now!

SOOOOO, just get a LS2 timing chain and call it good? I've researched some and the verdict is that they run loose but I don't know about being this loose!

Any comments and opinions lets hear em

I said the same think the first time I saw an LS timing chain. I put in the LS2, and it was just as loose. It will be OK with the new LS2 chain that loose.

That's normal, I use the aftermarket chain and billet gear now, not as much slack.

My brand new ls2 chain isn't might tighter then that. You can replace it just for wear but it isn't streched far beyond new.

Its awsome when people freak out over the slack of the LS timing chain

Looks about normal, they are looser then I like to see but they are all like that unless you go aftermarket from what I have seen.

"Loose" engines make more power than "tight" engines.
