This is a stupid question I am sure, but the LS1 guys swear by it. I have my rotating assembly installed in the short block and I am taking it from there. Is this a good book to go by?

Yea, I am looking for information but I can't seem to find peoples write ups on assembly and stuff. This book is going to just be in addition to the information here and when no one is here to respond.

Hey if you get that book let me know what you find out and weather it's a good book. Some information you can only learn from experience or step by step manuals and I wouldn't mind a good informative read.

its a great book. i read it a couple times before i gave it to a buddy. it gives flow numbers on different heads, changes to the motor from year to year, cam specs on ls1's, ls6's, lq4's and lq9's, torque specs on most parts on the motor, its FULL of info.

I thought i taught you better. Keep it at the track boys!
(back on topic
) I have the book, "how to build high performance LS1/LS6" This came out pre Gen IV small block so there is no LS2/LS7 info in there. If you wanna borrow it, im still in CS.

I got that one another on Forced Induction, and another by Joh Lingenfelter...all are good background and for absic understanding of components, installation and function parameters. Its good research for starting a project without hands on experience. R/

Unfortunately Beau, the next time I will be in CS will be August but I think I am going to order the book, an oil pump, and a timing chain so I can bolt the oil pan and finish off the short block. Then its on the cam selection...
