Default Help me find a proven cam plz

Looking for a proven cam for a 4.8. I want something that will runn good at the track here are the mods I have done to the truck.


08 rcsb 4.8
410's
lt's
cai
circle d 3000 stall

I've tried to do some research but I can't seem to did any proven cams for a 4.z

212/218 or 220/220 are good proven cams. Tons of threads on these.

i bet you get a dozen posts in this thread telling you to get a "custom grind cam"

212/218 .522/.529 114LSA
i believe the fastest n/a 4.8 for a while was running a 224/224

216/220 will make good power in the mid range and excellent up top.

I like my 212/218 high lift, not enough lope though since it's on a 115 lsa. The tr220 will make more power though.

TR220 can't get much more proven then that.. Yes everybody says to use them.. HMMM cause they work.. If there is a 4.8 cam that is better I havnt read about it

Tr220 is proven. My buddy had a cam only 4.8 sierra with a tr220 and it made great power. He was running a bit bigger converter but it would still be a great cam

Also depends on the converter you get too. I was just looking on Lingefelters website. the 216/220 says 1200 to 6200 powerband. That on a 112 LSA and you're good to go.
