Help me choose
I am looking at two vinci cams.
The 043 model:
DUR @ .050" 210*/ 218*
LIFT .531/.531
OVERLAP 48*
LSA 114*
Description - POWER RANGE 1700 TO 6000
PROVIDES HIGH TORQUE, MODERATE LIFT, LONG VALVE SPRING LIFE
LIGHT CHOPPY IDLE
and the 112 (new) model:
DUR @ .050" 210*/218*
LIFT .551 / .551
OVERLAP 50*
LSA 114*
Description - POWER RANGE 1700 TO 6000
PROVIDES VERY HIGH TORQUE GAINS
GOOD THROTTLE RESPONSE - LOADS OF "TORQUE" - HIGH LIFT
LIGHT CHOPPY IDLE
Notice that the only things that vary are the overlap and the lift. Are there any SOTP differences (significant) between these cams? I guess what I am saying is is the 112 model enough of a bigger cam to warrant choosing it over the 043 model?
And a more important question is better for Transmission life?
