Default Help? Lifter not pumping/filling up

Hey guys, i need opinions and help here.

Truck just got out the shop and 1 lifter seems to be making noise.

Truck HAS LS6 Cam, and is turbo btw.

Oil Psi is around 38 hot idle, stock oil pump.

Truck got the following removed:
- Stock Pushrods
- Stock Head gaskets
- Stock head bolts
- LS6 springs

Truck got the followng put on:
- 7.425 chromoly pushrods
- LS9 Head gaskets
- ARP Studs
- PRC (dual) .650 springs & Ti retainers

Ive driven the truck for about 1 hour, and its still making noise.

Before install, truck has always had a bit more valvetrain noise on passenger side, but never this much. The noise is coming from the passenger side, drivers side is fine.

Also, passenger side seems to be getting less oil to the valvetrain than the drivers side.

How many miles on lifters ?

A weak lifter will show up when stiffer valve springs are installed , it's happened to me on high mileage lifters .

The push rod length seems a little on the long side to me. Did they check it for Length when the installed everything or did you just supply them based on some one's recommendations???

I supplied that pushrod based on reccomendations and what i read, since LS6 cam is a little smaller.

Lifters have 64k miles, do you think its bad? or should i just give it time?

I was told LS6 cam has a smaller base circle, so pushrod needed to be .025 longer. And since i live in mexico, it does take me 3 weeks to get parts over here, and it is a bit of a hassle.

Now, if theyre too long, why does only 1 lifter make noise?, shouldnt they all?

It all depends on the engine. Not every engine is decked correctly from the factory. I have one at the machine shop now that has a low spot in the middle on passenger side of the block. It didn't look to bad until it went on the decking machine. The first side cleaned up at .003 pass. The pass side went almost .010 and it still has a low spot.

I did read that the original LS6 had a longer push rods. How ever it should still be checked as there is a lot of variables. The Iron blocks and the Aluminum blocks have different Deck Heights. The Iron being slightly shorter from what I remember...

So I might need to use 7.400 in some spots, and leave 7.425 in others?

Do you think its deffinately that and not a bad lifter?

No thats not what he meant. It's just not as precise on that block. You should be using all same length pushrods, otherwise you have other problems to address. It is best to check the length though so you aren't on the extreme sides of lifter preload, not enough causing valvetrain slack or too much causing valve hang and lower compression.
