Default Help with cam specs

Bought a 04 Chevy Silverado with a 4.8. The truck came with a cam uninstalled. These are the specs 218/222 .600 113. Need help on which lifters and springs to use. And anything else I may need for the install

No real need to use new lifters unless the stock ones are damaged or its got excessive mileage, IMO. Throw on a set of BTR dual springs and call it a day. Trunion upgrade isn't a bad idea for the rockers either. A set of hardened pushrods is also a good thing to have.

.600 lift cam eh?

I would invest $20 in a pushrod length checker. To save you some headache, I'm almost willing to bet that your cam will need 7.450 PR's, else it will sound like a sewing machine.

To add,

Cams .600 in lift and over, have to have the base circle ground down more else it wouldn't fit in the engine. The cam's base circle is what affects PR length.
