Great cam...I don't think that you need all of that spring stressing out your valvetrain though. You could sell those springs in the classifieds here and get yourself a new set of PAC 1218's and be good to go. Spend $18 for a Comp pushrod length checker and buy some hardened pushrods for your setup. Are the heads milled? If so, you'll be needing shorter pushrods.

With the heads and cam, your injectors may end up maxed out or very close. Some 30# gas 8.1 injectors should be enough, or you can go with the marine 8.1 injectors and have plenty extra if you ever mod further. Your stock fuel pump will be fine, and I'd use factory multi-layer steel head gaskets. You'll need either new factory head bolts, as they're torque to yield and can only be used once, or some ARP head studs or bolts. From what I've read, you can't get the heads on the engine while it's in the truck if using the studs...you'd have to install most of the studs (except some of the rear ones), drop the heads on, then install the rest of the studs with the heads in place.

Since the heads will already be off and you'll be putting a new bumpstick in there, now would be the time to replace the lifters. IIRC, a set of LS7 lifters is less than, or right around $120 from SDPC (sponsor, link to right). Both SDPC sell head and cam install kits that include all of the gaskets, and can be pieced together with either factory bolts, or I believe the ARP goods that I already referred to.

Sounds like a nice set up that you're going to have...we all know that the Comp 212/218 is a proven performer. What LSA is that cam on, is it the 114 or 115?
