Ok i have a 2003 gmc truck bagged an body but its a v6 i already bought ls6 heads an ms4 cam for my car but changed my mind. So my question is will the heads an cam work on a 5.3 just for my truck. It pretty much is only driven around the show an on an off the trailor.

 

That's a big *** cam for a 5.3, I believe that setup may require fly cutting the pistons so you don't have piston to valve clearance issues. IMO way too big a cam.

 

The heads will work but that is a donkey dick cam for a 5.3, biggest i would go would be a torquer 2. Even then you'll need a big stall and some gears.

I also agree that the cylinder heads would work great, but the MS4 has way too much duration for the 5.3. Since its a show truck, I assume you are looking for something that has some sound to it.
