Default heads, cam, and intake 5.3 guys, in here!

ok, im looking to get some performance out of my truck was looking for some good info on a heads, cam, and intake swap. Would this benifit me in anyway? I was thinking of a LS6 intake w/ ported tb, and a GT2-3 cam... but dont really now what to do with the heads if anything. Im looking for a little bit of low end and just some more power out of my motor.

as of now any help is appreciated!

thanks
justin

i posted in the newbie section, but its a 02 ext cab gmc. I have a posi w/ 3:73's as of right now i just have a few bolt ons(tb spacer, CAI, headers and full exhaust) with a nelson tune.

but my truck is bagged and bodydropped and i was looking at the LS6 intake for clearance isssues with the cowl. But why i have it tore apart i wanted to go ahead and do a head and cam swap to maybe pick up a little more low end and some more power for the truck....

get rid of the spacer. Look up VHP.com and look at some of their cams. People here like the 212/216 range for good low end. I have a 221/221 and I can feel when the cam hits and I actually like it a little higher cuz its kinda a surprise to ur opponent

Just don't go too big with the cam selection otherwise your hopes of gaining low end grunt will turn into a loss!

the GT2-3 will lope less than stock with a 118.5* lsa. Look for something in the 112-114* unless you plan on going FI?

i was looking at a tr224 cam... on 112lsa. I was also thinking about some 243 heads with a mill job to gain some compression and then the ls6 intake... Was also thinking about running a stall too but nothing crazy. Any advice?
