there is a huge variety of heads for a 4.8L... anything that will fit any other LS motor will fit the 4.8L... a good high flowing head will do great on a 4.8L since the motor needs to spin so much rpm to do anything. I ran a set of ported LS6 heads on my 4.8L with a hefty cam and it was a screamer

Trick flow make some specifically for the smaller engines (4.8/5.3) as well as the prc 5.3 heads...lots of choices!

I would probably go with a set of the "budget" heads that TSP has, and just call it a wash, any good head is going to make gains

I have a set of early 2000 LS1 vette heads that have been worked over and are perfect for a FI 4.8 liter....they made 547rwhp on my 4.8 with a STS on it
