Question Heads

If i take the stock head from my 98 Camaro LS1 and put on my 2005 5.3 chevy silverado Z71 would i get good or bad outcome

The combustion chamber volumes are way different. The truck heads have a chamber volume of around 61cc, while the LS1 heads for the '98 year cars were approx. 69cc. Unless your going to add a turbo or two, I don't think it's a great idea, Of course you could surface the heck out of the 5.7l head and maybe get it down to 61cc. By my calculations it would take you a bit over .045" of milling to get the chambers small enough. Then you have to worry about piston to valve clearance with the larger (2.00") intake valve.
IMO the best bet is to mod a pair of 5.3l heads and have fun. Even minor porting and some larger valves will wake up a pair of 5.3 heads.
