Default 6.0 stroker help

I want to build a 408 stroker motor from a 6.0 iron block. I know there are plenty of kits out there and several articles on how to make mega hp.

I want to put this motor into a 72 K/5 Blazer. It presently sits on 35" tall tires (I may go to 37") with 4.56 gears and a nv4500 5 speed.

What I'm looking for is input on how to make mega torque motor without a supercharger. I want all the power down low in the rpm range. What heads and cam should I use? If I buy a lq9 motor can I use all of the stock parts with the stroker kit? Would I need to modify the FI set up or is all I'm looking at is getting the stock comp reprogramed?

I would love to hear the input, also are there any good articles on the subjet someone could link me to?

Thanks in advance

Building a low rpm torque motor will require the combination of heads that have good low lift flow and a proper cam. A small duration cam grind will make an excellent low rpm torque bubble. An LQ4 or an LQ9 will make a great foundation for your buildup. You should be able to use the factory intake and throttle body so long as it's not throttle by wire. There's a couple of ways you could go with computers. I would look towards an aftermarket until like the FAST or DFI systems unless you need to pass smog tests in your state.

Good luck,

Richard
