Default head recomendation

3 options
take a 5.3 head and port them myself and have a shop milll, install larger valves and a valve job.

or have the machine shop port them, and do all the rest

or buy the 5.3 head from WCCH already done

Im just trying to save money because i dont have any
how much do you think a machine shop would charge for porting milling and valve job.

MY Gramp owns the machines to do the valves and heads, he does not do porting though, its too time consuming. how much do you want off the heads? and what type of angle job do you want on the valves?

When I specced the machine shop that did my engine work, it ended up being a couple hundred cheaper than the TEAs but would have been by hand... I took the CNC.

I'd go with the WCCH head

You can't go wrong with WCCH heads. I'm very pleased with their quality, performance (if I had a cam to keep up with them), and the customer service is top notch.
