Default next mod

Hey guys
I just need some input. I have a basically stock 2000 5.3L vortec. My only mods are headers with 3" exhaust, no power steering or a/c, and electric fans.

I have about $400 to spend but could go over a little.

I was thinking of getting a cam and valve springs, or 1.8 rockers. I am looking for a little more aggressive sound.

any advice?

If you want the most power, get a nitrous set-up...

If installed properly nitrous can be very safe. $400 can get you a cam and some springs and you could use the extra money left over on an intake...

in order to find a decent cam and springs for only 400 you may need to ebay one of the items depending on how much you can go over. or you could invest in a stall so you can be prepared when you get a cam in the future and not be too limited. but since you are looking for sound then go with cam etc

actually there's cams FS here all the time for around $250 then add $100 for springs. SO a slighty used TR220 or 224 and some CC918s for $350 then put that $50 and whatever else you have to a tune.

From there you're only a CAI and converter away from a quick truck!
