Head Choice

quik: thanks for bringing it to light
i dont think he's gonna do any work to the heads. he's looking to spec a cam for his current set up or if the L92s are a better choice he'll spec a cam for that set up.

throw a blower on it, for the price youre going to pay for really nice set of heads and intake you could have a blower and make 100 more rwhp with better driving characteristics. Ive been the big na route and itnt nearly as nice as a blown vehicle. I know youve ridden in skipperdadyys truck and for no more than is in that truck it runs good all with great street manners i bet.
Im doing a budget fi build with an lq4, cam and radix. It will have the normal supporting mods and should be 500rwhp easily and that much tq right off the converter(2800). Just my opinion as a radical na setup got on my nerves when i just wanted to relax and was sitting traffic. I do miss the looks id get from the cam loping its *** off in traffic though

There isnt going to be a head swap worth the time and money for at most a 20rwhp gain with a custom spec'd cam to go along with it. The L92s stock arent worth messing with, fully ported will run 2+ grand and net some decent gains but will require a different cam. Not worth messing with IMO.
