Default Head Bolts vs Head Studs

ARP LS1 head studs are $310
ARP LS1 head bolts are $115

At what point do you say go with Studs vs Bolts? Thats a big price difference!!

I would say if you are over 14-15psi of boost it would be best for the studs. Im running stock GM TTY bolts right now lol.

I know alot of guys are boosting stock bolts to 15 psi with out issues. I opt to go with the ARP bolts. Some times it is better to push a gasket then it is to blow the *** up, hahaha

yea im not gonna push it up to the 5 gazillion psi limit.. but i would love to try 15psi..

Jarrett said bolts would do me fine, they gotta be alot stronger than stock TTY's and i have seen quite a few folks doin 12-20psi on them.
I wanna try an do it right the first time.
lifters and trays, rockers, LS9 Gaskets, all the above.

For 15psi I would at least want the ARP bolts. You might even consider the studs but it would be more of a peace of mind kind of thing. Anything over 20 would be where I would say studs are required.

If you even think you might try 14-15 psi with a little shot of giggle-gas, get the studs.

You know you're gonna............

yea Thats the plan.. i dont ever plan on goin over 15# since im 2wd and i dont think its gonna hook on that anyway.
Studs are well over double the Bolts so thats hard to get past.
