I'm wanting to build my 5.3 with my tax returns. I'm looking at some 215cc ET performance heads w/a 54cc combustion chamber and want to know what cam I should match them with, or if I could put 1.85 rockers on my current cam(TR224 .563 on 110lsa), and give it .613 lift, and then use the saved money to get a better intake and injectors.

Any opinions would be appreciated, especially if you have experience with this set-up.

 

that cam should still do damn well with those heads. Just save the money for an LS6 intake

 

I'm bout to order my heads and i've got some 8.1s comin in the mail.

For running high compression do i need to stud my head??ARP??

well gosh i wish u would have told me about the injectors earlier

if the ramp rate is fast on that cam maybe with 1.85s it will open to quick and u might have some ptv issues

 

according to where I got the cam I shouldn't use any aftermarket rockers so I'm not going that route.

and I found another set of injectors, so no big deal..

 

are u gettin a new cam or using that one
