Default GTO 5.7 LS1 Swap

Im new to this sight. I have a 2004 chevy rcsb with a 4.8 in it now. Im looking to do a motor sway and im looking at 2004 GTO motors to put into my truck. Im curious if anyone has done any motor swaps to my type of truck? Any info at all would be greatly appreciated.

its a straight up swap. take out the 5.3 and put in the ls1. use the same wiring harness, same exhaust same everything. re-use your truck accessory drive and get it tuned.

I did the same swap 2 months ago! Works amazing to say the least! I own an 03 GMC
Z71. I used my original heads and intake manifold off the 4.8, and had the heads ported using the 4.8 valves to increase low end torque. Also the 4.8 heads bumped the compression up a point or so! Im brand new to the site and need to post pics and such still! lol
