Hey everyone, im new on this forum but not on LS1tech anyways i just recently but a 01 silverado and im wanting to do a cam swap! I was wondering if the cams r the same as LSX? What fuel pump to use which i figured is a walboro 255? Are the stock injectors big enough and also what size they are? And one more, will a torque converter work out of a camaro/firebird? Sorry for all the ??? but im new to the trucks! Thanks n advance!!!

Cams are the same, the walbro pump is a good upgrade. The stock injectors shouldn't be maxxed out, but they might come close to it depending on what other mods you have. The stock injectors are 24lb/hr? I don't know much about the torque converters.

 

Something tells me you are new to ls1tech also if you're asking questions like this without asking.

 

Thanks that is what i needed to know! I believe the converters are the same but ill double check with Yank if nobody else chimes in! O and my only mods right now are CAI and a handheld tuner which will be sold cause ill get it professionally tuned when the cam goes in!

 

No i've been on LS1tech for to 2 years, just didnt know if the 5.3s were ne different than LS1s my name on the LS1tech is juicedls1 im always n the southern section! Oh and how else do u find out info if u dont ask???
