the ls2 lifters trays are a tad beefier.

12551162 = LS1 Tray
12595365 = LS2 Tray

12499225 = LS2/LS7 lifters

i am using 1.7 harland sharp rockers. been running them for a while. happy with them for sure.

someone just suggested an ls9 cam...anyone know about it?

Well I know the LS7 cam is:

#12571251 -GM LS7 Camshaft Lift 0.593" INT / 0.590" EX Dur @ 0.050" 211 IN / 230 EX Centerline 116 INT 124 EX 120 LSA

I found it here were some one put a bunch of weired part numbers...
https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=428941

A quick google search on LS9 Cam specs and I cam up with...
GM Part# 12605527
0.562/0.558-inch intake/exhaust Lift
211/230 degrees intake/exhaust Duration at 0.050

Not sure on the LSA but believed to be around 115 by a few post I have read.... Looks to be less then $200 from a few online GM Parts sources...

As you know GM has to meet strict guidelines and be able to provide a warranty. the factory set up is not putting out much more then probally what you were currently at before all this happened. deppends on your Goals

Get the custom cam ground, besides the LS9 cam I don't think will work in a GEN III anyway.

Could you elaborate or provide a link to this info...I currently have Harland Sharp 1.7's that I was going to swap over to my LQ9, but have been considering selling to help fund my trans. If it would be in my best interest to keep and run them I will

finally got a chance to work on the truck today. got the even head off...everything looked good. pulling cam tomorrow.

bad news....magnaflow spun cat...at least one of them FAILED. honeycomb has collapsed in the middle and the whole thing is loose inside the housing. 150 miles....my gues sis this clog caused the y pipe to blow of the headers. just one more thing to fix/replace/upgrade.

will get more done tomorrow and ill take photos.
