Default Good cam for a lq4?????? Need help

Ok i have a rcsb with a lq4. Mods are 4.56 gears, tci 3500 stall, built tranny, cai, full exhaust, electic fan's and a 150 shot of nitrous. I have a tr 224 cam in it right now and it worked fine for the 5.3 but I think it's alittle on the small side for the 6.0. So im wanting to put a bigger cam in it. I was thinking about the ms3 cam or something around that size but stay under 600 lift cause i don't want to change springs. I also have injector's on the way and a walbro fuel pump. I dd the truck but don't drive it far distance's. I race the truck every weekend. I just want a cam that will make the 6.0 run harder. So any suggestion's would be greatly appreciated. Thank's

You dont think that is too much cam for a full size truck? Im just worried about losing all my bottom end. I mean it's a truck so it's already hard moving off the line, i just don't want to contribute to it.

with that stall and 4.56 gears in a rcsb truck, you shouldnt be having a problem getting it off the line. and moving up to a 6.0l should help move it better. and have seen guys put some pretty big cams in trucks and they work, but you daily drive yours so i agree in your thinkin ms3, also look into futral f13 cam. anything around 230 duration and .600 lift is wat your looking at, but best to get consider your setup and what works best for it

It come's off the line good. Im just comparing it to a car. I wanted to go with a ms4 but friend's talked me out of it. I just don't want to have a dog off the line until it hits 4 grand then start's pulling. How much hp do you think i would pick up goin to a ms3 or similar cam? And another question, i only picked up .8 of a sec in the 1/4. I had all the same mod's but with the 5.3. So is that normal only picking up .8 or less with swapping a lq4 in? And those are motor run's not nitrous.

with the stall and gears I dont think you will have a problem coming out of the hole with the ms4, add the nitrous and you will be looking for traction......

ms3 in my old 06 lq4 cam/bolt ons only put down 377/364 on 20's and through an 80e. Sounded great at idle and pulled really hard on the top end.
