Uh, no i dont go off-roading with my truck... i basically got the truck for $5000, i didnt really want 4wd, but i couldnt pass it up. Right now it has 3.42's (i think thats what they are stock) but i'm planning on changing them. I'm sure later on i will end up doing a converter. I'm really not too worried about mpg, but my truck is a daily driver... i just want to add more power and a lope. I'd like to see my truck in the low 14s...

well you could go with a 210/216 cam or something like that you could easily do without a converter there. especially after your gears but once you get the converter you'll be wanting more of a cam than that.

Symantec01, what are you running in the 1/4 and is your truck a daily driver (if so, what mpg?) and how much of a lope does it have? Later this summer I think i'm either going to put my truck on the bottle or add a blower... so i want a cam that will work well with that... i'm really leaning towards blower though. A friend of mine is getting a lancer evo VIII this summer, and i'd kinda like to stick with him.

Something else... what kind of tuning software are you guys using, and what do you think of it?

My truck went a 13.9 @99 mph on bald street tires spinnin through first. My mpg in the city is between 13 and 14 and 19 on the hwy. If your goin to do nitrous i would get a cam with a 114 lsa but i know some people that are running it with a 112 and haven't had any problems. Right now ive hp tuners in my truck. Ive got a lot left in it but i just had to get it going so that i could go to school. You can get some good results out of them if you know the right people who know excalty what to change. If not I would invest in a good dyno tune.

Where did you order your cam from? Is your 13.9 on the 100 shot? I could handle 13 to 14 mpg in town. What about the hot cam? Someone told me that is a good cam for a 5.3.

symantec, you are only runnning a 13.9 with that cam?? seems like you must have ALOT left in your tune especially with your supporting mods...
