Getting a stroker kit for a 6.0 L76
So my truck is an 07 NNBS vortec max with the L76 6.0.
I recently had the engine pulled apart to rebuild (all around new bearings , timing chain , and .030 bored over ) due to a bad lifter ( dented my cam , had to buy a new one ). Since I have the engine apart I ran into the idea of making it a stroker build. What kit should I look for ? 383? 408? Any recommended brands to build from ? All input is welcome !

The downside to using a four inch stroke in a standard deck block is that the piston skirts come way out of the cylinder at the bottom of the stroke. This creates piston rock that in turn wears the sides of the piston skirts and can also effect ring seal. If longevity is important I recommend a standard stroke crank.
I am not saying don't do it as I have a boosted 416 myself. Just be aware of the trade-offs.

For now I want it to be a nasty all out N/A build but I do plan on installing a procharger or turbo near the fall time. As for usage, this isn’t going to be my daily driver so it’s more for the ability to kick *** when I line up at the street light on the weekends or at Yellow Belly

Yes! 100% am with you. I was thinking the same thing on a 4 inch but hey we’re here for a good time not a long time! How’s your setup holding up by the way?

On my first stroker (402) I wiped the cam in the first few months. When I pulled it all down the piston skirts were well scuffed. My current 416 with a 2.9l Whipple has been going strong for four years and about 40k miles now without any issues. It is an L92 block and honestly I don't know if the cylinder length is exactly the same as a 6.0. It is a daily driver but honestly I don't spin it over 6k but a few times a week.
