how would yall build it... i will still run stock crank its in pieces so i will have to build it anyways... not in to big of a hurry to finish it but but what would yall do?

going to run a vortech v2 with a pulley and a front mount..

 

Since you have it apart, you could pick up some new rods and forged pistons. Then build it for boost with the correct ring gaps and what not. Then get a small blower cam, new springs on the stock heads, and run it!

 

I've taken a 5.3 iron block and bored it out to 3.905 with forged pistons, H-beam rods and Manley 4" crank to build a forged 383. It's going to have CNC ported 243 heads, overdrive balancer and 2.8" pulley driving my Magnusen 1900. The engine should be done this week. There was a similar build in one of the magazines with a bigger blower that made 680 crank HP. I'd be happy with 550. It hasn't been cheap but will be just what I want. The engine should be done this week and I'm pretty excited about it.
