Forged pistons in stock motor?

Yes I was planning on dropping the compression a bit. The LQ9 does not like too much boost, so I was thinking like 9:1. Who should I talk to about getting the pistons, do I need to tell them they are for a blown application? I would imagine so for the lands to be little tougher or are all forged pistons tough in that area?

Diamond makes a set to drop right it and do what you want to do Part# 11514. They will give you 8.9:1 with the stock .057" gasket.

And yes, forged piston's ring lands are much stronger.
