forged 370 oil pressure issues
#51
If this let's loose I'll be out 4k but as you said too I have a hard time believing it as well. It should've been taken out another .010. I just don't want to run it it's going to have an issue consuming oil or causing a compression drop. With oil in the walls it's barely felt but still there and drags oil cleanly up and down the cylinder. Reguardless though I'm **** I never should have trusted anyone to do something I could've done myself and correct the first time. Figured a short block from a reputable place would save me time and get me racing sooner but lesson learned. As stated earlier I'll get some pictures once I'm off work so that you guys can see as well

Ask kyle...he's "100%sure that is was done effectively and that I'll have no issues. Whats funny is the bore is off too being 1 and five tenths off! Tell me how the hell a 4.030 is gonna fit in a 4.0285 bore...makes me think maybe stock size bore piston and oversized rings especially after seeing the scoring is only front to back. Their shop foreman said that my engine would have no issues as well. And quite frankly I don't believe one bit of it...I pretty much purchased a 3400 paper weight

I'm honestly quite tempted to post the screen shots as well on my end and his. But please tell me how is this supposed to last or supposed to not get blow by or consume oil?

As some of you guys know I've had issues. I had a lifter failure and ended up opening up the shortblock to find tms junk work taking its toll on the walls and pistons. They've lost my business and my respect. As expected reusing junk scored pistons and a half assed hone took its toll on the bores. I'm now out a set or pistons and am going an additional .010 over

I was able to see the last picture of the cylinder walls. The scoring is 1 thing but if you look closely the cylinder bores are not round.
See where it goes from silver to grey and then back to silver? That Grey area is where the hone didn't touch the cylinder wall. That's a good indication that the cylinder is out of round.
IMO, Any company that recommends 20-50 be used in their engine's should be a good sign that you should look else where. That's why they're not giving out the bearing specs...
Unfortunately, it seems more and more of these types of reports are coming in about the company in question...
