Do cyls 1st and then trial assemble it and see where you are on height. You can then have them deck to correct height. Just less decking when piston is a little taller.

been looking at the wiseco pistons which do you think would be better

I like Wiseco pistons. I would not hesitate to use them.

These pistons make a .000" deck on a stock 9.240" gm standard deck block (LQ4 and LQ9 included). It is a 1.304" CH, You add that to a 6.125" connecting rod and 1/2 the stroke 3.622(1.811) this means 1.811+6.125+1.304=9.240.

These are excellent pistons that we have used in builds over 1500HP without fail. You can definitely use with confidence. That being said the Wiseco pistons work great as well, Either route you travel will be a successful one with either of these using Thompson Motorsports or Texas Speed. Both Pistons are basically the same just have to make a decision.

Diamond=9.240
Wiseco=9.236
