My budget is under a $1,000. right now im looking at intake. flowmaster dual exhaust, and maybe a tune, Got any ideas where I can find a good setup for Intake? and Im thinking of fabbing my own. thanks for the response!

 

Again...forget the intake...just geta quality filter. Intakes (CAI) really provide little measurable power improvement that can't be found with simple fliter upgrade. The single best improvement will be the tune. Find a local custom tune ($500-600), buy a Nelson or Wheatley ($500) or buy the program and teach urself (~$750). Cat back and headers would be next ($1000+ headers, $400+ cat back), then cam ($300-400), port heads or new heads (~$500 for porting, ~$1200+ new). The best $/rwhp will be a turbo or Mag Radix. As I've done 2 Blowers, I'm inclined to recommend the turbo ($5000+), but u shud speak with Trick or Left Coast about both. Either way you go for $1000 u shud spend think in stages for ur build casue ull ALWAYS want more and u dont want to be having to dump something in order to go to the next stage. ie: make sure if u buy headers, spend the extra $ for ceramic coating....etc.

 

Don't forget the transgo hd shift kit and servo or: "dead tranny".

 

Put a drop in KandN filter and some holes in your stock box and it will flow as good as any CAI and the servo and shift kit are a must IMO i killed 4 under warranty then did the servo and just a good trans tune and Im at 100k on a stock factory replacement trans. pulled the pan last month and clean as a new one. BEWARE of bad tuners...they can hurt as much as help!
