Default dropping oil pan on a 4x4

So I swapped an lm7 to an l33 and managed to get the one with the hairline cracked oil pan. Can the pan be dropped on a 4x4 without pulling out the front axle?

Not in my experience. But pulling the front diff isn't that much work.

Unbolt it amd use jack to lower it down and you can pull pan out then its a pita and time consuming

Does it have to come all the way out or just moved down a lite bit?
