Default Does anybody here have experience with Speed Pro hypereutectic pistons?

I am rebuilding an LQ4 to use with a mp112 blower. I am having trouble finding oversize pistons that don't cost an arm and a leg. So far i have found these which seem like a great deal at $200 for a whole set. However i am told that they are manufactured in India and I'm a bit skeptical of the quality.
Has anybody here used these before?

Speed-Pro Hypereutectic Pistons H857CP75MM - Free Shipping on Orders Over $99 at Summit Racing

or even these?

ENGINETECH P3080 - 1999-03 DISH TOP 6.0 VORTEC REPLACEMENT PISTON

I'm trying my hardest not to spend $850 on forged JEs

In my experience the actual piston isnt the biggest cost when having an engine rebuilt... I would fork over 600 for Wiseco's. They seem to be the cheapest good name brand I found.

Had a set in my camaro. Tossed some spray at it and also some boost.

Nothing crazy and was conservative in the tunes always.

I was younger and cash was tight so it was one of the few options I had.

are you guys living under a rock gees speed pro is a great company ive been running there pistons in everything from nitrous to blowers the only thing with these is they have a high silicon content and nitrous can freeze the silicon but ive run 250 hp spray on them but i tend to be a little rich in my tunes. the thing about this and most forums im on if your not buying the top tear whatever your going to have a piece of **** build well im here to tell you there is life below the top tear look at matt happal yes he blows **** up but in my mind he is a ****** genius and there are many more we make due with what me can do so its up to you if you want to use the hypertech pistons under the boost your wanting to run call them and ask they are a hugh company they have a great tech group they will tell you yes or no. sorry rant done now lol

If you go to .060 overbore (maybe pushing it), you should be able to use the SpeedPro L2640F, forged piston.

They're $512 @ Summit.

hypers are good pistons but ive heard theres something about nitrous that makes them break. they are better suited for na or boost.

They are very fragile, they tend to crack. They cannot handle any detonation, obviously detonation is bad period but compared to forged pistons Hypers are very weak in that sense.
