Default cumbustion chamber size

what is the chamber size on 243's i have heard of bunch of numbers.
What is correct?????????

Most say 64.5-65cc. I believe Richard at WCCH posted what he measured them at somewhere on here. Do a search for it.

This is correct assuming the heads are unmilled. You can measure the thickness of the head to determine if they've been milled to any degree. The stock heads measure 4.750" +or- .003".

Thank you, so why are there people telling me that they are 69 c.c. there is only one kind of head with cast number 243 (right)

there it is 69cc combustion chamber (w/min. mill)

and actually 243 is the casting number, just for future reference

i know and most everyone on this board knows but i didnt want you to be misinformed and think it was a part number and say go the dealership and ask for those part numbers or something

That is a ported head, which is why the chamber is larger. Stock 243s have 65cc chambers.
