The 06 GTO cam won't work in your engine, so the LS6 cam wins by default

hey any of you know of a good chip or programmer for a 1997 gmc k1500 350 vortec of course i got a new cam and need to program it in.

Ummm, welcome to the forum!

This is a pretty old thread, and your question is kinda in the wrong section and you should probably start a new thread in the GM Tuning or General sections...but to answer your question, there are great tuners, who are also sponsors of this site, who tune most OBDII vehicles, and should be able to hook you up. Check out Wheatley, BlackBear, and Nelson. I have a BlackBear tune myself and am very happy with both the tune and customer service that I received
