The measurements of my filter.
Shape: Round tapered
Height (in): 9.000 in.
Inlet Flange Inside Diameter (in): 6.000 in.
Top Diameter (in): 4.500 in.
Bottom Diameter (in): 7.500 in.
Filter Color: Red
Filter Material: Cotton gauze
Quantity: Sold individually.
Notes: Filter end cap is chrome.

[(4.5x7.5)/2]x9x3.14x6=1017.36 cfm's
that's what i got.

Engine requires 476 cfm; filter will flow 1076 cfm....you're good to go!

Can you have too much air filter?

Probably not....

Buy the biggest one you can fit in there.

hehe, so at 18 psi and 6500 rpm, I need 1746 cfm (although the twins will be cranking out 1243 cfm according to my turbocalc sheet).

a single filter flows 1047.975, so I think with 2 I'm covered lol

erik i got 1746 for your engine man!! i think youll still be fine with those filters though. i was going to say there is no way im pulling more cfms than you. i am at almost 1500. and i need a single filter which is hard to find. i need something that has a 3.5 inside diameter but not more than 10 inches long.

I might have a filter for you -- gotta dig through some boxes later. It may be 12 long though..

let me know if you do. im thinking im going to need it soon. i just dont want to order one from k& n and then it not fit. pm me some info if you find anything big with a 3.5 diameter.
