they sent me a new set of springs no questions asked. im sure you'll get a free set of springs out of this, unfortunately that wont make it all better. now you have an excuse for a 408 or somethin else

i got my springs a day after i called comp. but i do live 2 hrs south of memphis so that may have something to do with it

Damn that is a kick in the dick. ??? for the 918 guys, how do i know if my springs are the ones with the recall????

sorry to see that. a lot of f body guys have lost their motors due to the 918's. Chris is no longer handling the warranty claims. Just call the warranty 800 # and they will take care of the springs, not that it really makes you feel any better. i will always use dual springs for that reason, well worth the $. good luck.

They are dark colored and have a blue stripe. The new ones are shot peened, frosty shiney, and no stripe.

yea i had the dark colored ones with the blue stripe, so i called chris when i heard about them breaking and he sent me a brand new set of the new brushed silver looking ones, i feel better now that i got the new ones in there, and sorry about your motor man! guess its time to put a 427 in there!
