so am i crazy? its a 93 lifted suburban and I have about 10" clearance from bottom of pan to my axle. I think my crankshaft flange is warped since my flexplate wobbled and I installed a new flexplate and it also wobbles. Yes i torqued it correctly and cleaned surfaces and installed and reinstalled and reinstalled. I have it apart because my front seal in my tranny went out after 2000 miles after rebuild from performabuilt. any suggestions?

it is a pain in the a$$! in the frame and easy to make mistakes as in drop bearings on the floor and that sort of thing. personally I`ve never had a warped flywheel flange. I would look closely at the flywheel and crank some cranks have dowls and some dont need them. also check the dowls in the rear of the block if they have been pushed in to far the tranny will be out of line with the block causing damage to seals and pump bushings. also note that most flywheel/flex plates may wobble a bit when not bolted to a convertor. also check for a pilot bushing being left in the rear of the crank this will keep the convertor snout from matching up properly.

Yes checked everything very closely and installed and ran motor with and without dowl, but Thank you, everything i read and also performabuilt told me if anything the wobble would be increased with the torque converter bolted up. Yet like you stated I am pleased to say the wobble actually went away. Unfortunately I replaced the seal but it still leaks. must be coming from pump or converter
