Default Camshaft suggestions

2000 model silverado SCSB, 5.3, 4:10 gears, 3500 stall, Headers/exhaust, stout tranny.

Stock 5.3 heads, 2.05/1.55 valves, fully ported, milled, 11:1 compression.

Lift Intake Exhaust
.200" 152 113
.300" 211 144
.400" 259 187
.500" 304 209
.600" 329 227

Idle quality not a problem, tuning not a problem.

Must be dependable as a daily driver, still want decent milage, but otherwise max effort.

Will run any valvespring, and can upgrade too ls7 or caddy lifters as well as hardened pushrods.

Would like too get this thing too run low 12's if possible, so if you have something like this let me know what you are using too make it happen.

Thanks.

With that stall in a 5.3 and no idle/tuning worries in that truck, I predict the TR224-112 will get some nods. Definitely do hardened pushrods and either PAC 1218 or Comp 918 springs. No need to pull the heads and replace lifters.
