it all depends what your goals are???

with a cam/heads you'll have a 12 sec truck for sure!!

if you gotta heavy *** ext. cab or 4 door a 408 is always a good choice to help that thing get moving but for the money a good heads cam package can deffinately wake that stock 6.0 up.

a friend of mine put had allen put a 6.0 in his 01 ecsb, with a 224/226 cam and some heads, he took it to the the track the first time and he ran a 12.9 n/a,, that was the tailgate being his only weight reduction, and he still has the pos g80, and he says he feels the truck get out of the hole pretty good but after he gets off the line a few yards he feels like the tires start spinning ... he didnt know on how th g80 worked and after I told him he said that was the problem for sure, plus he had a 3000 stall put in and it was only stalling at 1500rpm?? he said he's going to take it back to get that fixed.... but what I heard after he gets a good rearend and his converter fixed he should be well into the mid 12's...

Heads and cam you have a nice shortblock right now wait till you blow it to drop a 408 in it. A nice cam for a 3 K stall would be a ~230 duration. I plan on going with something around that once I pull my 418 back out and get the 6L in. Whatever you do put a stall in it with atleast 3000rpm brake stall speed.
