What would the powerband be like with this cam in an LQ9? Comp 224/230 .581/.588 112. I'm thinking that it would start to make decent torque around 3k, but still be pulling better than stock around 2500, and pull to around 6700-6800. 3400 converter should be well matched I'd think...am I about right? I'm sure that it would work with the truck intake, but really like the TBSS intake...this would be with WCCH StageII 317 heads btw...

*EDIT* The converter is a 2A 258mm multi-disc BTW...the 278mm 2A is listed as a 3000-3200 stall, so I figure that a 2A in a 258mm would stall a few hundred RPM higher....224/230 sounds pretty good if that's the case...gonna eventually want more gear too

Man, from what I've seen you've already put alota wrench time in to the mods you have. It's time to go big or give it up. You will not regret it! Don't talk your self out off it. My current combo in the RCSB truck right now is a 225/229 @ 50 with a 3600 Yank. With the help of my tuner it drives like stock and runs mid/high 13's on motor. My old combo was a 5.3 with 212/218 with a 3600 Yank, it never got tuned other then shift points and idle adjustments. The difference between the two is Night and Day. What your listing is still pretty mild. Your really not over the top yet. My new LQ4 roasted my newly rebuild trans at 500 miles thats why I had to go FLT. I have BIG cam coming soon. It is sitting at home calling my name right now. It's similar to the TR raptor and I hope it gets me where I'm looking to go. Moral of the story is: don't sell your truck short...
