CamQuest is an excellent tool (currently at version 6 I believe). It contains a lot of information and the price can't be beat. It's also a pretty powerful simulation program and will give you some good ideas about how a given cam versus other cams will work. You can even enter other cams that are not in the Comp data base for comparison if you like.
I also have DynoSim and Dynomation and I can highly recommend both programs as simulators and as a learning tool.
