Yes but it won't be worth the swap.

 

Yes, gains will be minimal to none...if you're going to take the time to do a cam swap and funds are tight, I'd keep my eye open in the classifieds here for a good used cam like the famous Comp 212/218.

I'm assuming that you can get an LS1 cam for free or close to it? That's usually the case when one of theses threads pop up...

 

no i have an mt1 g1 cam and im going with a diff cam in my car, and i wanted to put thte g1 in my silvy but didnt know if it would work, will i have to change the springs or pr? the cam is a 228 230

 

Youll need the springs and pushrods just like what you had in your car. That is a big cam for alittle 4.8, it will be a dog taking off..
