I have a Nnbs 5.3 4x4 lowered barely starting the build, what are some ideas to help start me off? I was thinking full exhaust, cai then cam but don't know of any cams good for this engine any ideas on that either? tia

 

some favs are the comp cams 212/218, even brain tooley has a series of truck cams, vinci performance has a few, the sdpc ht1. there are plenty of options. just depends on what your goals are

btw truck looks good! what hood is that?

I want a choppy cam but also good performance. Looking to turn it into a fast street/track truck

 

what year is it? is it the aluminum block with 243/799 heads?

 

With that stall, those heads, etc I would suggest a 224/228 .581/.581 LSA 112

 

I love the way this truck looks.

The cam choice is really dependant on the converter choice at this point. I'd it's a 8.5" 3600 then I agree with gamble... If it's tighter I go slightly smaller. Maybe a 218/222 with a 3000.
