Default Cam Help

I have spent days researching and procrastinating over what cam to run in my truck listened to many idle clips read many posts and still cannot decide. I drive the truck daily but only a 4 minute drive. I've tried to do all the supporting mods before I even began on the cam swap and all I can say is damn this 4.8 is hard to make run I've had many 5.3 trucks and I can tell a major difference.. Has factory 373 gears so here are the cams i'm thinking.

TSP 220r 600 600 on 112
TSP 216/220 550 550 112
Tsp 212/218 550 550 112
Stock48 218 218 112

What do you guys think I'm trying to do all I can to make the little 4.8 run without going forced induction for now.

Seeing as its a small motor in a truck I would lean toward the smallest cam. I dont know how much advance the TSP 212/218 has, but I would like to see it as a +3 or 4 in a 4.8.

The 218/218/112 is my turbo lq4 base camshaft not what I would recommend for a NA 4.8L. I've done a lot of 206~215, 108 and 110 lsa camshafts that work well in that application. You don't need a lot of duration on the 4.8L to make it rev to 7K RPM. Only reason I would go wider than a 110 lsa would be if boosted, or wanting to smooth idle which I can understand.

We have the perfect cam for you. Its a 205/210 .550/.525 lift on a 115. Its also a great price.
