So I found a lm7 locally for a decent price ($800) and was curious if anyone on here was making around 500 whp with 5.3 and a D1 procharger and supporting mods? My original plan was to get a forged 370 short block from tms and go that route but if I can save some coin and get a used 5.3 and make some good power I'll go that way, what do you guys think?

I made 477 with an LS9 cam on a 12lbs from a P1 on my otherwise stock '02 5.3.

100% stock exhaust too.

500 would be a walk in the park with long tubes on my old setup. A better cam and heads would be pushing 550-600.
