Blew my 5.3 so I am going to drop in a 6.0 with headers, intake, custom tune and of course new tranny.

This is a dd and will not be taken to a track ever, I prefer lift kits on my trucks. Will not be supercharged or turboed. I am wanting a cam that will give me low end power. The specs on the cam I am looking at are 224/224 .581/.581 112.

 

Bad choice if you want more low-end. That cam wont make any power until close to 3000 rpms.

 

I'd probably take it below 220* of duration if it's not even being raced.

 

Ok then, after searching around a little more what do you think of the VHP 080?
210/218 .551 .551 116

 

More like 200/208 .502 .502 112

 

that's way too weak. You might as well run an ls1 cam.

I'd run that 210/218 or a 212/218. You'll like either one and it will provide alot of lowend power.

 

I had a 210/218 .551 112 cam in my 6L and it felt real good down low. Pulled to 6000rpm before it started to trail off (on the dyno)
