Default Cam advice, not your typical setup

Ok guys, as the title says I need some thoughts on a cam.
My truck is a 2000 rcsb with a some weight reduction. It's a 5.3, so far I've swapped to a nnbs intake, 90mm dbc tb , 1 3/4 inch primary, 3 inch collector headers, dual 3 inch exhaust, x-pipe and spintechs. Eventully I will be swapping in a t56 magnum , but for right now I'm swapping a nv3500 in. (working on a college kids budget). The 60e, suprise, suprise took a crap and I'm not swapping an auto back in. When its apart for a cam I'm swapping to ls7 lifters, roller rockers or trinuon upgrade depends on budget, whatever length pushrods, arp head bolts arp rod bolts, ls2 timming set, patriot dual gold extreme valve springs. While the heads are off I'm gunna shave the thirty thou and clean up the ports.

Ok, so I've had this set up spec'd for when it has a t56 and 4.88 or better rear gears. It came out as a 224/230 .607/.609 on a 112lsa. I'd like to only do one cam swap so I'm willing to compromise on this setup as its only short term.

I'm just looking for some thoughts on another cam or what you think about this one before I hit a buy button.

I'll also be hitting it with atleast a 150 shot

Thanks

224r or 228 be better then the 224/230. Have you thought bout the 80e swap? 224r or 228r 3600-3800 stall 4.56-4.88 high rpm screamer!

Although I am a die hard auto fan, I can understand some people liking a manual. IMO hold off on the cam swap and do the t56 first. I have a buddy with a 4.8/nv3500 and a 2.3 Whipple on it, and I have grown to despise that transmission. The gear ratios are terrible. I think you would be happier and prlly run better from a dig.

I also wanted to swap the t56 in before the cam swap and I have looked for a good stocker 98-02 f-body t56 to swap in for atleast half a year. I haven't found one yet. My 60e is done and I have a nv3500 I had laying around for a t-bucket. The only reason I considered the nv3500 is because I had it. Id much rather swap the 6 speed, gear it and squeeze it, then swap in the nv3500 and cam it. But if I don't find a t56 that's what's gunna happen
