This is my buddies truck. He wants a cam. Need alil help anybody know a good cam. He wants solid mid range power and topend. He has ported heads pullies e fans cai ported intake and its tuned. Need some recomendations

 

224R would be a nice cam, or XER273 from comp

 

I heard u need head work to put a cam in those motors is that true

 

Depends if he still has stock springs. The stock springs are only good for about .460 lift (varies, some say .480 lift max).

i put a crane compucam 2032 in my old truck. ran great with bolt ons and a small stall. 13.90's at 100mph.

 

Anybody have any used or new cams for this motor for sale
