I found a good mechanic with cam experience in our engines and got quoted 600 for cam and springs. I asked at four different places and all of them said the heads had to come off exept this guy. One even said that a 224 cam would make the valves damage the pistons and he would only do it with a head swap as well. I will post my thoughts about the cam when I get it in next week.

Is breaking into the thirteens to much to ask from a cam swap, retune, and all my current mods?

I found a new lunati 224/224 for $300 or a used with 15000 miles for $170. I am leaning towards the used unless cams can get fucked up somehow.

I think the cam install and springs went about 5-6 hours.
