ok guys im trying to make a choice on which cam so tell me which do yall think would be the best for my truck. im looking at the 228/228 .588/.588 112 and the 224/224 .581/.581 112 both from texas-speed, which you probably already know. my truck is a 2004 5.3 rcsb and so far all i got is a pcm, electric fans, cold air intake, corvette servo, i got a 3:42 gear with G80! and i just bought a yank 3200 stall which i havn't installed yet so with the stall which cam would work the best and im also getting heads in the future!

I am with the cajun on this one, I would think about a set of full length headers first. The 224 cam will work better with a 3k stall, not saying the 228 won't,224 will be in its power range a lil better then a 228 for the street... This just my op, to each his own..

224 would be good. I thought about going 228 but not sure about P to V clearance, also tuning would be a bitch on that big of a cam. Plus would be a dog down low to drive daily. If I didn't drive my truck all the time I would do it but if your doing a DD or something you drive a lot then go with the 224
