Bye bye stock cam

Anybody ever see this on a stock 5.3 cam? Came out of my LC9....

It has nothing to do with AFM/DoD.

The cam just wore away, simple as that. Lots of cams are made with metal that isn't up to the task. Lots of times the lifter will have no damage either, the roller will still be smooth but the camshaft got ate away anyway.

It is more common in the afm/dod motors but its got everything to do with the cam.

The associated lifter is probably ate up as well... Being that its that bad... I have 3 apart right now waiting on parts for them.... L77 lc9 and l96.... L96 doesnt have dod...
